about.
I’m an interdisciplinary artist and designer working at the intersection of movement, media, and technology. With a foundation in architecture and a strong performance art background, I create works that merge interactive design, motion, and embodied storytelling. I work across formats as a freelance multi-media designer, teacher and performer, and love collaborating on bold, cross-disciplinary projects that blur boundaries.
I’m fascinated by observing how our conditioned bodies move under given structures, borders, and hierarchies, and I love crafting new performative narratives by dissolving and reimagining those limits.
BIO
Belçim Yavuz is an interdisciplinary artist, performer, multimedia designer and architect whose work blends interactive digital media, movement, and performance. She holds a Bachelor’s in Architecture from Istanbul Technical University and a Master's in MediaArchitecture from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
She creates participatory performances and installations using body-tracking technology, multimedia design, and choreography to engage audiences in reflections on self-perception, surveillance, and collective identity. Her works have been showcased at prominent venues and festivals, including Ars Electronica in Linz, BcmA Gallery in Berlin, Nova Space in Weimar, Dock 4 in Kassel, Theaterhaus Jena, Gieannale in Giessen, Hessisches Landestheater Marburg, 11m3, Barockfest in Weimar.
Belçim’s work bridges disciplines, creating dynamic spaces that invite dialogue and interaction across digital and physical realms.
